With me it just created a Primary without asking - in retrospect, I assume the 'extend' icon was adressing this, it didn't seem clear at the time, so now I have been relieved of my Win2K boot option (not entirely good) is there any particularly good step to take at this moment?
Otherwise I'll remove the V.Partition and re-do it all from scratch.
Someone mentioned the graphics drivers - for the 32bit, will the standard drivers be O.K. ?

Just crashed my computer and lost what I downloaded already with a partition program :) -- Robert Firth
